Security Engineer (Solutions Designer) Permanent

Currently working with a client of mine that is looking to hire a senior security engineer where main responsibilities will be to research, design and implement security solutions as well as work with internal and external business partners to review, design and implement network segmentation.

The position is very much looking for someone who can lead the design and implementation of security solutions across various domains. They will need to be a self-starter as they need someone to hit the ground running as well as a great communicator as they will be dealing with various stakeholders and mentoring junior members of the team.

The Role 

• Developing a strong knowledge of security tooling (commercial off-shelf) and supporting the development team in configuring the tool to meet their requirements
• Analysing requirements, driving the vision for various security products and design solutions to meet the user requirements for a various range of security tooling
• Liaising with the Data and insights team to analyse data to support the design decisions to enable areas like detection for malicious activity in log data, network traffic or on endpoints
• Owning the engineering of technical solutions and Designs across the security domain

The Candidate

• Extensive engineering and/or design experience
• Excellent overall knowledge open source and commercial security tooling and integrations
• Strong knowledge of security network architectures and the principles of networking
