If you have taken security off an MSP and built cybersecurity back in house and done so for a business of circa 400 people, please apply and make sure we connect on this opportunity.
We are representing a prestigious hedge fund in New York City with multi-billions AUM. They are revamping their tech platform, so it’s a greenfield buildout and security is brand new for them in-house as it’s currently and historically been done by a third party.
This isn’t a CISO position, it’s a hands on technical cybersecurity manager/leadership role. My client has around 300/400 staff globally and 50 people in technology, someone from a similar size firm, where you still need to be hands on and want to be, whilst having the management experience is what they need and require.
As the Cybersecurity Manager, you will have experience designing, implementing and managing cybersecurity initiatives within the hedge fund/fintech/FS industry and oversee a global cybersecurity team that you will build. Projects will span development, infrastructure, trading platforms, legal, compliance, human resources, offices, data centers and vendors.
To be successful in this role you will need a combination of technical cybersecurity experience and GRC. You will work on policy management, vendor management, GRC and operations. The more experience you have across security systems, IDS, firewalls, endpoint, log management, cloud platforms etc, the better.
If you have been successful in managing and/or building cybersecurity teams within the hedge fund industry, please apply so we can start a confidential conversation.
This position is based out of New York City with 3 days in the office and 2 from home per week.
The base salary can’t exceed $200k, however the total comp will be $350k and maybe more for the perfect candidate.
