Security Engineering Lead (Urgent Role)

Location: Knutsford, Glasgow, Northampton (2 days per week in office)

I’m representing a FTSE 500 organization with an urgent need for a Security Engineering Lead. This is a critical role, offering the opportunity to lead a talented global team while overseeing essential Vulnerability Management services that the business depends on. I’m looking to speak with candidates currently working within Regulated Environments (banks, pharmaceuticals, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage a global team of 5 engineers across the UK, US, and India, with a larger engineering team of 50-70.
• Incident Management: As a Level 3 escalation point, you’ll be the go-to leader for critical incidents, but this is not a 24/7 on-call role.
• Vulnerability Management: Expertise in vulnerability management tools (e.g., Rapid7, Microsoft, Tenable, Qualys) is essential.
• Automation & Scripting: Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, PowerShell, KQL) is required, though this isn’t a coding-heavy position.
• Regulated Industries: Experience working in highly regulated industries (banks, pharmaceuticals, etc.) is highly desirable.

Interview Process:

• 3 stages, including an initial 30-minute screening followed by an in-depth discussion with senior leadership.
