Experienced Security Engineer – Network Security

We are recruiting for our client’s global Cybersecurity team and this hire will be the first Network Security Engineer in the London office. There are other engineers and SecOps engineers in London for you to collaborate with. The UK team has a brilliant office culture.

Our client is more interested in your mindset and problem solving skills than the specific technologies you work with and have experience of. Our client wants to know how you solve unfamiliar problems and how you research and pick up new technology.

Regardless of your network security tech stack (Palo Alto, Cisco etc), my client would like to connect with smart engineers who work well in fast paced and complex technical environments and work well with changing technology landscapes.

It’s essential you have a strong background in network security, firewalls, VPN and IPS and a full understanding of network concepts (TCP, UDP, IP etc). However, the role is much more than this and my client wants to see that your experience goes beyond this and into other Cybersecurity areas.

Automation plays an important part in this role and you will need to have experience in scripting and coding languages. Python would be ideal.

Salary: £80k-£150k base + bonus
